Knitted Cowl

You will need

3.75mm needle
100g DK (light worsted weight) Yarn
Sewing needle

Cast on 152 sts

Rib for 8 rows (K2, P2)

Row 1 (RS) P to end
Row 2 *(K1, P1, K1) into first stitch, P3tog, Rep from* to end.
Row 3 P to end
Row 4 *P3tog, (K1, P1, K1) into the next stitch, Rep from* to end

Repeat rows 1 to 4 16 times (26 cm from very bottom)

Rib for 8 rows (K2, P2)

Cast off in rib. Sew up and weave in the ends.

  1. Is it the same pattern if I want to knit it in the round so I don't have to seam the ends? Thanks!

    1. Sorry for the late reply. Yes the pattern will be different it will go as follows

      Row 1 (RS) P to end
      Row 2 *(P1, K1, P1) into first stitch, K3tog, Rep from* to end.
      Row 3 P to end
      Row 4 *K3tog, (P1, K1, P1) into the next stitch, Rep from* to end

      The ribbing will stay the same

  2. Hi, first of all love your blog! One question regarding starting the final section of ribbing 26 cms down...does it make a difference if you start the ribbing after row 4 (ie wrong side)? Many thanks for your answer! Lola
