Basic Knitted Baby Hat
What you'll need:
- Five 3.25 mm double pointed needles
- Extra fine baby soft wool 50g. (You can use DK and use 3.75 mm needles if you like, this will make the hat a little bigger.)
- A measuring tape
Method
Cast on 20 sts on each of the four dp needles using the longtail cast on method. (80)
Rows 1-7; K2, P2 around for roughly 2 cm
Row 1-3 Knit all
Row 4 (optional) Let yarn A hang, attach yarn B and Knit
Row 5-6 let yarn B hang, pick up yarn A and Knit
Row 7 drop yarn A, pick up yarn b and Knit. Cut yarn and knot.
(Dropping and picking up the yarn in this way will mean that you won't need to cut and re-attach yarn, and have loose ends to weave in)
