What you need
50g  DK  (light worsted weight ) yarn
4mm knitting needles
Sewing needle

Make Two

Cast on 48
Rows 1-7 Garter stitch (Knit all 7 rows)
Row 8  K17, K2tog, K10, K2tog, Turn your work around
Row 9  K10, K2tog, Turn your work around
Rows 10 - 21 Repeat row 9 
Row 22 K10, K2tog, Knit to the end of the row (32)
Rows 23-28  K2, P2 to the end of the row

Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew the edge. Weave in your ends and turn your work the right way

Cast on 28 sts
Rows 1-6 Moss Stitch
Row 7 (K1, P1) 5 times, K2tog, (K1, P1) twice, K2tog. Turn
Rows 8-12 (K1, P1) twice, K2tog. Turn
Row 13 (K1, P1) twice, K2tog, (P1, K1) 3 times, P1
Rows 14-20 *K2, P2. Repeat from* to the end of the row
Cast off in rib loosely

Leave a long tail, cut yarn and fasten off. Turn your work inside out and sew up the edge. Weave in your ends and turn your work to the right side.

THE BACK

Cast on 56 sts with 3.5 mm needles and yarn A

Row 1 (RS) Purl all
Row 2 *(K1, P1, K1) into first stitch, P3tog, Rep from* to end.
Row 3 Purl all
Row 4 *P3tog, (K1, P1, K1) into the next stitch, Rep from* to end

Switch to 4 mm needles and yarn B

Stockinette stitch for 23 cm (8.5"). 54 rows

With the RS facing complete the following decreases. K10, SSK, K9, SSK, K10, K2tog, K9, K2tog, K10 (52)

Complete trinity st 5 times in total

POCKETS

With yarn B and 4 mm needles Cast on 20 sts

Repeat row 1-4 2 more times

Cast off

BUTTON HOOK

There's 2 ways you can create the hook for the button.

Option 1 -Crochet

With a 4 mm crochet hook, attach yarn to the top edge on the right side of the dress and chain 10, slip st a few rows down. refer to pictures below







Option 2 - Knitted

With 3.5 mm or 3.75 mm needles pick up 1 st at the top edge of the dress on the right side and cast on 10.
Cast off all 10 stitches.

Sew the end of the loop a few rows down. It should look like the crocheted version. (Picture reference above)

Shaping the top of the sleeve
