What you'll need

2 x 50g DK ( Light Worsted Weight) Yarn
4 mm Crochet Hook
Sewing Needle


Foundation Row Ch 3, join in the round
Row 1 Single crochet 6 in the center (6)
Row 2 Single crochet 2 in each st around (12)
Row 3 *Single crochet 1 in the first st, single crochet 2 in the next, rep from* around (18)
Row 4 *Single crochet 1 in the first 2 sts, single crochet 2 in the next, rep from* around (24)

Row 5 *Single crochet 1 in the first 3 sts, single crochet 2 in the next, rep from* around (30)

Row 6 *Single crochet 1 in the first 4 sts, single crochet 2 in the next, rep from* around (36)

Row 7 *Single crochet 1 in the first 5 sts, single crochet 2 in the next, rep from* around (42)
Row 8 *Single crochet 1 in the first 6 sts, single crochet 2 in the next, rep from* around (48)

Row 9 *Single crochet 1 in the first 7 sts, single crochet 2 in the next, rep from* around (54)
Rows 10-17 Single crochet around. at the end of row 17 Slip st in your first single crochet
Rows 18 -21 Ch 1 rib (2 x Front post, 2 x Back post) Slip st in your first single crochet

Outer Ears- Make 2

Foundation Row Ch 7
Row 1 1 Single crochet in the second ch from the hook, single crochet to the end of row, ch 1 turn (6)
Row 2 Single crochet to end of row, ch 1 turn
Row 3 Single crochet 2tog, single crochet 1 in the next 2 sts, single crochet 2tog, Ch 1 turn
Row 4 Single crochet to end of row, ch 1 turn
Row 5 (Single crochet 2tog) twice, ch 1 turn
Row 6 Single crochet around the whole ear. Slip st in your first single crochet

Cut yarn and fasten off

Inner ears -Make 2 (Optional)

Switch Colour

Follow rows 1-5 for the outer ears

Sew the inner and outer ears together and attach to the hat.
