3.5mm Needles
4 mm Needles
100g DK (Light Worsted Weight) Yarn
Sewing Needle

With 3.5 mm needles Cast on 120 sts

Rows 1-8 *K2, P2. Repeat from* to the end of the row

Change to 4 mm needles

Row 1 (RS) Purl to the end of the row
Row 2 *(K1, P1, K1) into first stitch, P3tog, Rep from* to end.
Row 3 Purl to the end of the row
Row 4 *P3tog, (K1, P1, K1) into the next stitch, Rep from* to end

Repeat Rows 1-4
5 more times for 3-4 years
7 more times for 4-5 years
9 more times for 5-6 years

Row 1 *P8, P2tog. Repeat from* to the end of the row (108)
Row 2 *(K1, P1, K1) into first stitch, P3tog, Rep from* to end.
Row 3 *P7, P2tog. Repeat from* to the end of the row  (96)
Row 4 *P3tog, (K1, P1, K1) into the next stitch, Rep from* to end
Row 5 *P6, P2tog. Repeat from* to the end of the row (84)
Row 6 *(K1, P1, K1) into first stitch, P3tog, Rep from* to end.

Rows 1-7 Garter stitch (Knit all 7 rows)
Row 8  K17, K2tog, K10, K2tog, Turn your work around
Row 9  K10, K2tog, Turn your work around
Rows 10 - 21 Repeat row 9 

Row 22 K10, K2tog, Knit to the end of the row (32)

Rows 23-28  K2, P2 to the end of the row

Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew the edge. Weave in your ends and turn your work the right way

Rows 10-16 Repeat rows 8 and 9

Row 17 P9, P2tog, Purl to the end of the row (28)
Rows 18-22  K2, P2.

Cast off in rib

Fold your work with the WS facing. Sew up the edge, cut yarn and weave in your ends
